Does anyone want to maintain the Eee kernel?

I've had a new laptop for nearly nine months now, and my Asus Eee 701 has been regulated to living in a dresser drawer for most of that time. It has gotten to the point where maintaining the kernel is more of a chore than I want it to be, especially since I can't test it near as much as I used to.

So this post is a call for volunteers – does anyone want to continue maintaining the custom kernel? Obviously everything needed to build it is out there in the open in my Eee git repository, but I'd be willing to continue hosting it on my server. At the very least, I'd want to set up redirects so those already using the repository don't have to update their URLs.

Hi Dan,

If you don't mind, I'd like to volunteer myself, since I still use my 701 regularly and have been using your kernel since you made it.

I also maintain a kernel for Eee PC model 901 that is a derivative of yours in AUR: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php.... It's nothing much, but at least I have some experience maintaining a kernel package.

I might be interested in helping out ..... I'm stuill a big EEE user .... ( i have a 1000) ... my question is this ..... is the Kernal up to speed.... I've bheen using Debian .... and now puppy ... and thinking of switching over to arch for the eee ... and found this .... EEE is still the best in my mind and I'd love to get involved ..... Zodmaner looks to be the guy ... but I'll volunteer for whatever is needed if you can tell me how up to speed the Arch eee project is on all the eee specific kernal mods....

Hi dan, look, I not have an eee pc, but regularly compile kernels on my system, using the old style (make bzImage, make modules... ), not makepkg, but I know everything function in the kernel, modules and more, I apply patches manually, not know what the requirements But I would like to participate in the kernel configuration and packaging for netbook eee pc. Send me a email if you want, thanks.
